Mansfield University's self-study process is guided by four overarching goals. These goals, which are discussed in more detail in the self-study plan submitted to the Middle States Commission on Higher
Education, provide a framework for our self-study. The goals are to:
¨ Improve teaching and learning by engaging members of the campus community in a thoughtful analysis of their activities relative to the strategic goals of Mansfield
University and the State System of Higher Education.
¨ Develop and communicate widely within the Mansfield University community a better understanding of the students we serve and the best practices for facilitating their
learning and development as persons who will be successful and effective in the varied roles they will assume throughout their lifetimes.
¨ Develop and share among members of the University community a better understanding of the significant changes that are affecting teaching and learning in public
institutions.
¨ Prepare the groundwork for improvements that will make Mansfield University a more effective institution over the next decade.
